Carmel Quattrocchi declared mullet champion

Carmelo Quattrocchi was today declared Mullett Champion at San Ġorġ, B`Bugia when he not only won on the day with 1.113kgs, but also went on to win the Mullet League 2022. ‘

Carmelo Quattrocchi caught an overall total of 3.062 Kgs, with 2nd overall placing in the League going to veteran Charles Caruana with 2.382 Kgs. Ray Farrugia placed third overall with 2.090 Kg. Charles Caruana won this year’s Biggest Fish Trophy - kindly sponsored by Marindex - with a mullet weighing 0.672kgs.

Well done to all 19 anglers who participated in this League. Today’s second place went to Ray Farrugia on 0.936 kgs, and third place to John Attard with 0.818 kgs.

As always, not only are fish smaller than 12cm returned to the sea as soon as caught, but all fish are released to the sea after weighing, at the end of the competition.
