27-year-old Nepalese motorcyclist seriously injured in traffic accident

A 27-year-old motorcyclist is in danger of dying after being involved in a traffic accident on Wednesday night.

Police said that officers were alerted to a traffic accident in Paola at 10:30pm on Wednesday in Telgħet Raħal Ġdid in Paola, resulting in the motorcyclist suffering from serious injuries.

The accident happened between a Renault Megane, as driven by a 30year-old man from Santa Luċija, and the 27-year-old Nepalese man from Pieta.

Upon their arrival, police officers called for medical assistance, and the motorcyclist was taken to Mater Dei, where he was certified as being seriously injured.

Duty magistrate, Marsanne Farrugia, is leading an inquiry into the accident, and has appointed several court experts to investigate the matter.

Police investigations are also ongoing.
