1,246 final deeds of sale relating to residential property registered in July

The NSO recorded that the total number of final deeds of sale to residential property amounted to 1,246 during July 2022, which is a decrease of 10.1% or 140 deeds compared to last year.

Although there was this decrease, the value of these deeds amounted to €307.8 million, which is 2.4% higher than the corresponding value from the same month last year.

90% of the total number of final deeds of sale involved individual buyers. The rest mainly involved companies.

The values of individual buyers amounted to €260.5 million, which is equivalent to 84.6%.

In the same period, it also amounted to 956 promise of sale agreements relating to residential property registered, which is a decrease of 13.2% or 146 agreements compared to last year.

92.2% of the agreements were individual potential buyers, whilst the rest mainly involved companies.

The highest number of deeds of sale was recorded in the region of Gozo at 174 deeds, followed by the region of Birkirkara, Gzira, Imsida, Ta’

Xbiex and San Gwann, at 160 deeds.

The lowest number of deeds of sale was recorded in the region of Birgu, Isla, Bormla and

Kalkara, at 18 deeds.

The highest number and lowest number of the promise of sale agreements were the same as the deeds of sale
